G.S. Equipco Ltd. was formed in September of 1982. We have been in the agency business for twenty-five years, representing product lines throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Our head office is centrally located in Coquitlam, BC. The premises have 4,500 square feet of office space and 6,000 square feet of warehouse space. The office space includes a fully equipped training center that seats up to thirty people and most of the products we represent are installed and in use throughout the building. We have branch offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria and Winnipeg, with warehouse facilities in Edmonton.
The company is owned and actively operated by Bruce English, Dick Reitenbach and Garry Shaw. In addition, there are eight employees working out of our Coquitlam office, five resident sales people in Alberta overseeing Alberta and Saskatchewan and, one sales staff member in Manitoba also serving Saskatchewan and additionally Manitoba up to Thunder Bay, Ontario.
The staff of Equipco is motivated and knowledgeable. We have many years of experience in building trades, sales, customer service and management. This is advantageous when dealing with distributors, mechanical engineers and contractors. We have the ability to troubleshoot and service the equipment we sell. Even though our agency is not a service company, we are often asked by engineers, building owners, developers and contractors to get involved with special situations that arise on projects, such as design, installation or product problems. We also provide product demonstrations and hold training seminars on the products we represent. This exceptional back up cultivates customer confidence and motivates people to specify our products. Our reputation in the industry for obtaining maximum market penetration is excellent.
